With great excitement, we gathered for the third session of EMPOWER, a night brimming with joy, laughter, and valuable connections. This session was divided into two parts: an online Zoom meeting focused on CV polishing and networking with HSBC professionals, followed by an in-person event at HSBC, where we participated in face-to-face interview training.
A memorable highlight was the opportunity to hear from HSBC’s graduate interns, who shared their experiences and insights. Their stories inspired us and emphasized the importance of not being afraid to try. One of the key takeaways from the evening was that you don’t always need to meet every requirement to apply for a job. The journey of trying is invaluable; whether you learn or succeed, each attempt brings growth.
Another significant takeaway was the importance of authenticity. Being true to yourself and your beliefs is essential in any professional setting.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to:

● HSBC, for hosting the workshop and facilitating our training sessions.
● All the volunteers, especially Vikas Mehra, Jenny Li, Nimesh Panchal, Elizabeth Bernard, Manoj Balu, Vivek Gera, Mary Nguyen, and Christine Ng, for their contributions to the event.
